Wolkite University is one of the 3rd generation university of Ethiopia established in 2012 G.C (2004 E.C) and currently categorized under applied science university. The office of vice president of research and community service is organized into three actively working directorates namely Research, community service and university industry linkage and technology transfer. The main goal of the office is directing, facilitating and monitoring research, community service, innovation, technology transfer and publications and dissemination endeavors to ensure the vision, mission and core values of the University. This intended to work on quality and competitive researches, and is strengthening the engagement of the community to solve the problem through innovation and technology.
We are working vigorously on agriculture (enset, cereal and grain crops, tropical fruits and vegetables), technology, health welfare and education to elucidate the problem of the surrounding community and elsewhere of Ethiopia. Presently, the University is in a good track to attract different stakeholders. Therefore, we invite you to work with us in collaboration.
