                                Biography

The instructor was graduated from Jimma University with B.Sc degree in Agricultural Economics on June 10, 2010. Soon after the graduation, he was employed in Samara University on September 20, 2010 and served it until March 14, 2013. He then went back to Jimma University again for his M.Sc program and graduated with M.Sc degree in Agribusiness and Value Chain Management (ABVM) on June 25, 2015. Since then he went back to Samara University and served it as a lecturer and head of the department of Agribusiness and Value Chain Management (ABVM) until August 6, 2016. Since August 7, 2016 up to now he has been serving Wolkite University as a lecturer; and as a head of the department of Agribusiness and Value Chain Management since November 15, 2016. He has in general more than seven years of work experience in the higher academic institutions of which exposures in academic activities, researches, community services, creating partnerships, and academic leadership are part and parcel of it. He has experiences in research undertakings and community services; and has been conducting researches of which he published around four articles. He also presented different research works on both national and international conferences of which some of them are available online. He has also done few seminars and make available online for the reader. He authored and makes available two academic modules.He is a member in different professional associations (EEA, ESRDAE, and ECSS).

 He has also delivered training on pre- and post-harvest management of horticultural crops for Development Agents (DAs); coordinated and delivered training on Career and Entrepreneurship Development for graduating students. Beside his regular academic knowledge, he also took number of short term trainings on value chain development, entrepreneurship and value chain management in and outside the country (The Netherlands). Hehas also adequate experience and usage of statistical software packages (like SPSS, STATA,GretlEpiData,etc.), and knowledge of statistical and econometric analysis of any problem under his field of specialization. Again, beyond the academic knowledge, hehas accumulated leadership and management capabilities. He has been serving the University responsibly, effectively, impartially, transparently, kindly, honestly, and patiently throughout the year there by one of his former University testified him as the best Academic Leader of the year 2008 E.C. As part of Samara University, he was a project member of the Netherlands NUFFIC project (NICHE/ETH/019) for last five years since 2011. In his future career, he would like to engage in works related with innovative business developments working for the poor and the disadvantaged groups, agribusiness and value chain approached development projects, and conducting researches.
