Objectives/Goals

The primary objectives and goals of the Department of Sport Science at Wolkite University are to:

Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Sport Science has the following academic, administrative, and community engagement responsibilities:

Academic Responsibilities

Ø  Plan and deliver undergraduate sport science courses through lectures, practical sessions, and assessments.

Ø  Develop and revise curriculum in accordance with national higher education standards.

Ø  Guide student research projects and internships in schools, clubs, and sport institutions.

Ø  Support cross-disciplinary teaching (e.g., to health science or education students) as needed.

Research and Development

Ø  Conduct research on physical education, sport performance, injury prevention, and community fitness.

Ø  Organize seminars, workshops, and conferences on sport and wellness-related themes.
