Vice President of Administration and Development

 Objectives / Goals

  1. Ensure Operational Excellence: Promote efficient and seamless day-to-day operations across all administrative units, supporting the university's core academic and research missions.
  2. Enhance Service Delivery: Strengthen the quality, timeliness, and responsiveness of services provided to students, faculty, and staff.
  3. Efficient University Administration: Ensure the university’s administrative systems are effective, transparent, and support the institution's academic mission.
  4. Infrastructure Development: Plan, coordinate, and monitor the physical and technological development of the university to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff.
  5. Sustainable Resource Management: Oversee the sustainable use of financial, human, and physical resources in alignment with national policies and institutional priorities.
  6. Service Delivery Improvement: Enhance the quality, efficiency, and accountability of non-academic services including procurement, logistics, human resources, and facility management.
  7. Institutional Capacity Building: Strengthen institutional structures, systems, and staff capacity to ensure the university’s long-term growth and service excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversight and Coordination:
  • Provide strategic leadership and coordination for nine key service units:
    •  Dean of Student Services
    • Procurement
    • Finance
    • Competency and Human Resource Administration
    • Engineering and Maintenance
    • General Services
    • Vehicles, Garage Deployment and Transport Services
    • Property Management
    • Peace and Security Services
  • Ensure smooth integration of these units to support institutional operations and priorities.
  1. Resource Management:
  • Oversee the management of human, financial, and physical resources.
  • Ensure effective planning, budgeting, and resource allocation aligned with the university’s goals.

      3. Infrastructure and Facility Development:

  • Coordinate campus development projects, including construction, maintenance, and renovation works.
  • Ensure all projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  1. Service Delivery:
  • Ensure timely, high-quality administrative services that support teaching, research, and student welfare.
  • Supervise the procurement of resources critical to academic and operational needs.
  1. Strategic Planning and Development:
  • Lead infrastructure development and modernization efforts.
  • Implement policies and systems that enhance institutional performance and sustainability.
  1. Student-Centered Support:
  • Facilitate initiatives that enhance student life, safety, and well-being.
  • Ensure that all administrative services align with student needs and institutional values.
  1. Risk and Security Management:
  • Oversee campus peace and security operations
  • Ensure the protection of university property, personnel, and students.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Foster collaboration between students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Represent the university in community and stakeholder engagements.
  1. Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Monitor the performance of administrative units.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
