The primary objective of the Educational Quality Enhancement Directorate is to maintain and elevate the quality of education and academic programs by assessing and enhancing the teaching-learning process and ensuring the relevance of the curriculum.
Development Goals
The development goal of the Educational Quality Enhancement Directorate is to foster a culture of continuous improvement in educational quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies to maintain and improve the quality of education and academic programs.
- Collaborate with academic units to standardize and enhance curricula.
- Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in educational quality.
- Conduct regular evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Establish partnerships with external organizations to align educational offerings with societal needs.
- Oversee the merit-based selection and assignment of leaders to academic positions.
- Manage and supervise quality assurance reports in accordance with the Education and Training Authority (ETA) requirements.
- Monitor and ensure that tracer studies of graduates are conducted regularly.
- Propose and implement changes to quality standards and indicators when necessary.
- Support the quality enhancement process by identifying training needs, organizing workshops, and facilitating visits.
- Coordinate the execution of baseline surveys, impact assessments, satisfaction surveys, performance evaluations, and needs assessments to ensure the practice of quality enhancement throughout the University.
- Oversee the implementation and management of internal and external audit systems at the University.
- Ensure the existence and enforcement of quality assurance policies, procedures, and strategies across the University.
- Represent the University in quality assurance matters with external bodies, including the ETA.
- Facilitate staff development workshops focused on academic quality assurance for University academic staff.
