Objectives/Goals

The primary objective of the Educational Quality Enhancement Directorate is to maintain and elevate the quality of education and academic programs by assessing and enhancing the teaching-learning process and ensuring the relevance of the curriculum.

Development Goals

The development goal of the Educational Quality Enhancement Directorate is to foster a culture of continuous improvement in educational quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement policies to maintain and improve the quality of education and academic programs.
  2. Collaborate with academic units to standardize and enhance curricula.
  3. Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in educational quality.
  4. Conduct regular evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  5. Establish partnerships with external organizations to align educational offerings with societal needs.
  6. Oversee the merit-based selection and assignment of leaders to academic positions.
  7. Manage and supervise quality assurance reports in accordance with the Education and Training Authority (ETA) requirements.
  8. Monitor and ensure that tracer studies of graduates are conducted regularly.
  9. Propose and implement changes to quality standards and indicators when necessary.
  10. Support the quality enhancement process by identifying training needs, organizing workshops, and facilitating visits.
  11. Coordinate the execution of baseline surveys, impact assessments, satisfaction surveys, performance evaluations, and needs assessments to ensure the practice of quality enhancement throughout the University.
  12. Oversee the implementation and management of internal and external audit systems at the University.
  13. Ensure the existence and enforcement of quality assurance policies, procedures, and strategies across the University.
  14. Represent the University in quality assurance matters with external bodies, including the ETA.
  15. Facilitate staff development workshops focused on academic quality assurance for University academic staff.
