Goals/Objectives

The Strategic Affairs Executive is designed to guide and influence the university's strategic direction. This role is tasked with overseeing the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the university's overall performance. Additionally, the Executive is responsible for managing partnership agreements and maintaining statistical data at the institutional level. The key duties and responsibilities include:

  •        Establish a system guided by a comprehensive, data-driven, and budget-linked planning framework for the university.
  •     Promote organized and accelerated institutional development through strategic research, planning, programming, and equitable resource allocation.
  •          Efficiently utilize resources from diverse sources to ensure sustainable institutional growth and development.

Directorate's Duties and Responsibilities

The Directorate is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and integration of various programs across the university. It actively monitors, evaluates, and supports the implementation of these programs to ensure effectiveness and alignment with institutional goals. A key responsibility is ensuring that annual plans are consistent with the university's broader strategic plan. To this end, the Directorate works collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to make timely and necessary adjustments. It also gathers, analyzes, and interprets current institutional data to generate insights that support informed decision-making. Specifically, the Directorate:

  •      Prepares, monitors, and evaluates action plans to ensure organized, consistent, and effective implementation in line with the university’s strategic development plan.
  •          Collects, organizes, and disseminates timely and comprehensive information related to university operations for use by stakeholders.
  •          Conducts studies and research that support and inform the university’s development strategies.
  •           Ensures budget allocations are aligned with the university’s priorities and capable of supporting the effective implementation of its plans.
  •          Prepares and submits annual budget proposals to the Ministry of Finance.
  •       Monitors and evaluates the efficient and effective utilization of resources from government allocations and other funding sources.
  •          Follows up on the implementation of plans, evaluates progress, prepares reports, and provides feedback to relevant bodies.
